Congrats - payoffs always feel good - the best part is it that you get another present when the title comes in the mail!

It is a good feeling.
I got my pay off notice in the mail and finally went to the DMV and got a title without a lien or my dads name ( they co-signed)......
14 years after I paid it off. I’m kind of surprised I still have the paperwork.
Congratulations.

Indeed. I’ve been payment free for a year now and it is so nice. I’m starting to look at replacements for my very-abused 2013 Outback and one of the main things keeping me from just running out and buying the new XT is that I don’t want a car payment again.

Hells yeah.
Now onto more preventative maintenance .
My next goal is spark plugs, changing the diff oil, and new/upgrade engine air filter to start.
